Shawna launched King Realty in February 2024, bringing with her more than two decades of expertise, a reputation built on fierce client advocacy, and a bold vision: a boutique brokerage where every client and every agent actually matters. Born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, she carries that small-town, people-first spirit into everything she does; backed by big-city knowledge and the kind of market experience you simply can't manufacture.

That's not a tagline. That's how Shawna has operated since day one. She began offering creative, lower listing fee structures in 2005; a concept that was groundbreaking and even controversial at the time, because she believed sellers deserved to keep more of their hard-earned equity. It worked then, and it works now. Across both buyer's and seller's markets, this client-first approach has consistently helped her clients net more, sell faster, and walk away with more options.
Before founding King Realty, Shawna co-founded and helped build a Texas brokerage from just 2 agents to over 100 Realtors, expanding into all major Texas markets and Southern California; all while serving as a top-producing agent, heading agent recruiting and training, managing compliance with industry laws and regulations, and overseeing business operations. In short: there is virtually no aspect of real estate, from the contract table to the boardroom, that Shawna hasn't mastered firsthand.
Today, King Realty is intentionally boutique, capped at around 25 agents, all DFW-focused, because Shawna knows that staying small means staying excellent. Her team of 12 (and growing) neighborhood experts cover all corners of the Metroplex, serving buyers, sellers, and investors at every price point with the same full-service, full-heart approach. She personally mentors every agent on her team, keeping them sharp on the latest market trends, technology, laws, and strategies so that King Realty clients always have a true professional in their corner.
